Playland Farm LLC is a family owned property located in the beautiful countryside of Frederick County, Maryland. Nestled in rolling hills, the 140+ acre farm is the perfect horse-haven for both the horse and rider.

Playland Farm LLC's facility offers something for everyone!

With its large indoor arena, 2 outdoor arenas (one jumping and one warm-up), round pen, 2 stables, 40+ acres of turnout, and lots of hay fields and woodlands to hack around and trail ride in, you and your horse will have ample opportunities to accomplish your goals!

The brand new barn at Playland Farm LLC is every horse owner's dream! Attached to the indoor, the stable offer 22 12'x12' stalls with a 12 foot center aisle with radiant heat. The stable also has a hot/cold wash rack, grooming stall, feed and medicine supply room, hay room, office, laundry, and tack room all with radiant floor heat.

With 9 stalls having dutchdoors on the backside, the barn opens to an outdoor covered grooming and tacking up aisle that also has a washrack.There is a sawdust building and a large hay storage building located just a few feet away from the stable. There are multiple small paddocks, and larger fields located within a short walk from the stables.

The long lived stable of Playland Farm LLC is a very functional 2 story barn with the top floor being a hay loft. This stable has twelve, 10' x 10' stalls separated by a ten foot center aisle, plus a 10' x 20' foaling stall. The stable has a hot/ cold wash rack, feed room, tack room, and medicine supply room. There is a large sawdust shed just outside the stable. There are multiple pastures surrounding the stables.

Playland Farm LLC has a covered 36 foot diameter round pen. The round pen has a stone-dust base footing with 4 inches of sand on the surface layer to provide horses with an ideal base that has concussive dampening properties. The round pen is equipped with a sprinkler system, viewing deck, and lighting.

Playland Farm LLC 's indoor arena measures 80 x 200 feet with a 55" high kickboard. It has a 6 inch base of packed stone dust with approximately 4 inches of sand on the surface layer. It is a dust free arena! The arena has two large sliding doors on both ends of the arena to aid with ventilation. The arena is equipped with lighting. The arena is attached to the new stables at Playland Farm, making it easy to ride during inclement weather. Future plans include attaching an observation room/ classroom. This will be completed in the spring of 2009!

   

Playland Farm LLC's outdoor jumping arena is an enclosed oval shaped arena measuring100' x 200'. The arena has a base of 6 inches of stone dust with approximately 3 inches of sand mixed thoroughly amongst the stone dust. The footing is an excellent all weather footing, that provides the horse with an ideal balance of traction and concussive dampening properties; making it a great footing for a jumping arena! There are also cavelletti jumps set up on a nice sloping hill just outside the outdoor! It is perfect for building strength in the hindquarters of the horse.

Playland Farm LLC has added a second outdoor arena, conveniently located just outside the indoor and new stables. It measures 80' x 120'. It has a base of 6 inches of stone dust. It is perfect for lunging, or warming up for one of the Dressage/ CT schooling shows or the Future Young Event Horse competition that Playland Farm hosting summer of 2008.

Playland Farm LLC also has many acres of rolling hills to hack in. We have 50+ acres of hay fields (We make and sell our own hay, contact us for more info on purchasing hay.) that we trail ride around, plus wooded areas with streams to school water! In the future, we will add cross-country jumps to our beautiful hillsides.

Playland Farm LLC's rental fees:

Entire facility: $1000 per day---includes indoor arena, 2 outdoor arenas, 22 stalls of main barn, round pen, and permission to hack in the fields.

Indoor facility: $300 per day---includes use of indoor arena for one day.

Outdoor arena: $250 per day---includes use of outdoor arenas for one day.

Playland Farm LLC also offers.....

Ring fee for individual rides: $15 per horse per hour and half session---includes riding in either of the outdoors, indoor arena, or round pen usage.

Stall board for overnight short-term guests: $30 per night---includes bedding.

Field board for short-term guest: $20 per day.
