Dressage and Combined Test Schooling Show Series of Summer 2008:

Playland Farm LLC is delighted to host a Dressage and Combined Test Schooling Show series this summer of 2008. The schooling show series is designed to be a friendly competition to aid in preparation for recognized shows. Playland Farm LLC has therefore selected specific dates before local recognized horse trials to give the event rider a chance to ride their test in front of a judge the Wednesday before the recognized competition. Competitors can choose to compete in dressage only classes or in a Combined Test. For the dressage only competitors, we offer the USDF Dressage tests from Intro A-First Level 4. We also offer a Musical Freestyle class, and a class to ride the USEF event test of your choice without competing in the combined test. Combined test competitors are welcome to compete in a variety of classes that include Dressage Intro A and an 18" Show Jumping course thru Intermediate eventing test A and a 3'9" Show Jumping course. We also allow Combined Test competitors to school the Show Jumping course after the final Show Jumping Class for $10, if time permits. Only three competitors will be allowed in the show jumping arena at a given time. Six ribbons are awarded per class and classes may be divided per age and experience. All Dressage is ridden in a small sand indoor arena. All Show Jumping is ridden in an outdoor sand & stone dust footed arena. Show is held rain or shine. All entries must arrive the Friday before each show. Shows starts at noon, unless entries allow for a 3:00pm start.
