Playland Farm

Camp Playland

Playland Farm, LLC is excited to offer a summer camp program for both adults and young adults! Young adult camps will offer horseback riding, swimming, crafts, and horsemanagement! There will be lots of fun with emphasis on learning safe horsemanship. Adult camps will focus on horseback riding with both mounted sessions and unmounted sessions. The unmounted sessions will be lessons on the biomechanics of riding. These lessons teach the "how" of riding, without the complications of controlling the horse. All participants are welcome to use a Playland Farm, LLC horse or bring your own!

Playland Farm, LLC cares about the safety of you and your child! Therefore, all camps accept a maximum of 12 students. The students are further split into groups of 4-6 members for their mounted activities! Due to the small group sizes, camps are sure to fill up fast, so reserve your spot now!

Camp is taught by Playland Farm, LLC own Glenda Player as well as other assistant instructors. All levels are welcome.

More about Adult and Mother & Daughter Camps:

The Adult and Mother & Daughter Camps will have a similar format and focus as the anatomy & biomechanic clinics. The camp day(s) is split between unmounted activities and riding. Unmounted activities or exercises are oriented towards achieving a higher awareness of one's own habits and biomechanics; thus aiding each individual rider to a heightened performance once re-mounted. The camp allows time to discuss and explore the biomechanics of riding that is often left out (due to lack of time) of the 45-60 minute lesson. Camps are also group settings (8-12 riders); thus allowing everyone to learn from each other in a positive and encouraging environment! These are often fun and enlightening days! These two camps are open to all who are committed and focused on improving their riding skills! These two camps are similar to clinic format. There will be no clinics scheduled for Summer 2009, instead these two camps will be offered at rates lower than normal clinic rates. Just one more way Playland Farm, LLC is helping you stay in the saddle during the current economic climate!
